Laboratory test Result of Rbc

Laboratory test Result of RBC/ERYTHROCYTE

 Rbc - Red Blood cell. Is a component of our circulation system. It's the cell part of our blood which is anucleus. The diameter of Rbc is 6-8mm. Biconcave disc , Rbc contain hemoglobin which is the coloring pigment of Blood. Also called Erythrocyte.

Image of Rbc :-

Rbc

It developed in the bone marrow myeloid progenitor stem cell. Life span of the Rbc is 120 days. After this it will go through hemolysis.

Normal Range of Rbc:-

Male = 4.5-5.5 x 10^6/mm³

Female = 3.6-5.0 x 10^6/mm³

Decrease in Rbc count - Anemia

Increase in Rbc count - Polycythemia

Anemia :

 Rbc range when decrease below the normal level.
